FAQ

20-Percent-Off.com FAQ

How can you afford to offer 20% off all the products listed on your site by means of rebates or gift cards?

Because of economies of scale, clear and simple. If we sell a large number of products – though it may be close to break-even – we will make a decent profit in the long run due to the economies of scale principle.

Why would you want to give a 20% rebate or gift card if you can sell for the full price?

Two reasons.

  1. We build a loyal customer base that can always come back knowing that they will get the real deal. A loyal customer base is the foundation of any a good business.
  2. By offering a 20% rebates or gift cards we have a competitive advantage over our competitors. Who would want to buy a product from someone who sells it at the full price if you could buy it from someone who offers a 20% rebate or gift card. Especially in these tough economic times, this is a vital service we are performing for our customers.

Will the rebate or gift card amount be subtracted when I make the purchase?

No, it will not. The rebate or gift card has nothing to do with the vendors. It is a contract between you, the customer, and us her at 20-Percent-Off.com. Unfortunately we have had unpleasant experiences in the past with people purchasing our products for the sole purpose of getting the rebates or gift cards and then refunding.

Therefore we have a policy of sending the rebates or gift cards as soon as the refund period on the sold product expires. For example, should you buy a product from us on January 1 and the product comes with a 2-month guarantee, we will send the rebate or gift card via email on March 2nd.

Will the rebate or gift card be sent to me should I refund the product?

No, in case of refunds, we will not send the rebates or gift cards owed on that product as we ourselves would have to repay the amount we received for the transaction.

How do you send the rebate payments?

The rebate payments are send via Paypal.com. If you do not have a Paypal account yet, you can click here to apply. It is easy and free.

How do I redeem the gift card?

The gift card is only redeemable at Amazon.com and does not have an expiry date. There are millions of products available at Amazon.com, and I am sure you will find something that will compliment your purchase here at 20-Percent-Off.com.

Do I have to pay any transfer fees?

No, you don’t pay any fees with regards to the rebates or gift cards.

How can I make sure to qualify for the rebate or gift card?

In order to qualify for the rebate or gift card on any product you buy from 20-Percent-Off.com, you just need to make sure that you get cookied by our website.

This means that you should clear your cookies before you press the BuyNow button of the product you wish to purchase. This will ascertain that your details show up on our affiliate reports and we can forward you the gift card.

If you did not delete your cookies prior to buying the product, there is a slight chance that you might have someone else’s cookie when purchasing, in which case your transaction will not show up in our records, and we will not be able to honor the rebate or gift card.

If the product you are purchasing is a Clickbank product (stated under Guarantee), then it is not necessary to clear your cookies, as last cookies win.

How do I clear (delete) my cookies?

Here’s a page that shows you how to clear (or delete) your cookies.

How can I be sure that you will send the rebates or gift card?

Well, again there are a number of reasons why we would want to always send the rebates and gift cards, as well as a number of reasons why we would NOT want to refrain from sending the rebates and gift cards.

Why we would want to send the rebates and gift cards on time every time:

  • As mentioned before, we are trying to build a large, loyal customer base. And by sending the rebates and gift cards to everyone on time, we will be able to achieve exactly that goal.
  • After we send the rebate or gift card to you, the customer, we will ask you for an optional endorsement in the form of a comment on the site. By sending all the rebates and gift cards on time, we will receive a lot of hopefully good feedback from our current customers, which will in turn be an encouragement for future customers to buy from us.

Why we would not want to refrain from sending the rebates and gift cards:

If a website promises something and then not deliver it, for example the gift cards in our case, there are a number of ways it could come back to haunt not only the website, but also the website owners:

  • The website might be banned from selling any of the products from the specific vendor.
  • The website might be banned from selling any of the products from the affilite program.
  • The website owner’s IP address as well as the website’s IP address might be blocked from all affiliate programs.
  • There might be legal action against the website owner for making false claims.

We at 20-Percent-Off.com strive to have a happy and satisfied customer base. Whatever we do, we do it with our customers in mind, so rest assured that our integrity will not only surprise you, but also make you want to come back to our site on a regular basis looking for the next bargain.

More Questions and Answers

Question:

i was looking at your page for dean saunders ten minute wealth building but when I click to pay it still say $77.

What is the “clear cookies” button right above the “buy” button? what does this do… please be specific and detailed in your reply.

Answer:

I am sorry for not being clear enough.

Firstly, the price WOULD still be $77 since the rebate is offered by me and not the vendor. I forward the rebates as soon as the refund period has expired. This is because I have had a lot of incidences where people bought products, received the rebates, and then immediately refunded.

Secondly, the clear cookies button is not of such importance to you. Let me just explain what cookies are.

Cookies: When a visitor comes to a website that has something for sale, a piece of code (internet language) is stored within the browser of that visitor. Should the visitor then actually buy the product, the seller will be able to look at the cookie and see who referred the sale (referring website), and hence pay a commission to the owner of that website. Sometimes you visit more than one website promoting the same product and, depending on the vendors, either the first cookie or the last cookie wins the referring sale.

Products from Clickbank, such as the 10 Minute Wealth Building System, are last cookies win. What this mean is that if you go directly through the Buy Now link on 20-Percent-Off.com and buy the product we will get the referral commission as our cookie was added last. This would make sure that we would be able to send the rebate to you.

So, in short, if the product is a Clickbank product, which is stated on the product page under Guarantee, then you do not need to clear your cookies as long as you immediately go through and purchase the product.
